Reference: 65008-097_22_ CPA_1998 Curtin Information Management and ArchivesThe Western Australian Institute of Technology (WA.I.T.) corporate symbol was designed by David Walker an artist and designer and the inaugural Head of Graphic Design. The symbol represented ‘the cross- disciplinary nature of the new institute, its technology focus and the evolving and changing nature of tertiary education’, said Walker. He perhaps did not foresee its potential as monkey bars when made into a structure in the late 1970s.
